This event is entitled “Updated Notice to Appear (NTA) Policy Guidance” and will include a discussion of the Policy Memorandum entitled “Updated Guidance for the Referral of Cases and Issuance of Notices to Appear (NTAs) in Cases Involving Inadmissible and Deportable Aliens (PDF, 140 KB),” issued by USCIS on June 28, 2018.

“Under the new guidance, USCIS officers will now issue NTAs for a wider range of cases where the individual is removable and there is evidence of fraud, criminal activity, or where an applicant is denied an immigration benefit and is unlawfully present in the United States.” *USCIS
