With national immigration policy being discussed, we thought that it would be a good time to provide some statistics on the Immigrant population in the United States as provided by this AIC research. Once a week we will be posting a blog with information on three states at a time. This week we will highlight; Massachusetts, Michigan and Minnesota!

The White House, Biden Administration has expressed to members of Congress that they are open to a new border expulsion law, mandatory detention and increasing deportations! This is all being done to get congressional Republicans to back President Biden’s aid to Ukraine which is in the same spending bill. This bill also includes aid to Israel!

Some of the most worrying ideas that are under consideration are:

  • Prohibiting entry into the U.S. and effectively “shutting down the border” to most noncitizens.
